Success Stories
I write this story with tears in my eyes. I will never be able to thank Clinton enough. 7 yrs ago I bought an appendix mare. She was two. Not broke. I really didn't think this would be much of a chore since I'd been riding and training for 47 yrs.
I started this mare with some ground work, and after about a month of working with her I got on and rode her. The first week I rode her around the yard. The following weekend I rode her down the street to a big field. Something scared her and a buckin she went, right down onto the gravel road. I stayed on her till she decided to rear up and fell over right on top of me. When she got up she stepped on the inside of my calf right below the knee. To say the least I was laid up for 6 months. She crushed a lot of nerves in my leg. I sent her to the trainers who in turn had trouble with her. The first two weeks were bad. The third week she did better. I brought her home after her 30 days there and rode her once a week.
It was on a weekend that I saw Clinton Anderson's 1/2 hour show. I watched him again the next week. I told my husband I wonder if his method would work on this mare. I really was going to sell her. My husband told me to try it. I didnt have Clinton's halter and lead or stick. My husband said if I tried the yielding of the hindquarters and frontquarters and it worked, he'd buy me the halter and lead. I tried it. She responded. I worked her again the next day. She was better. I was so excited that finally the mare was showing me she had some sense in her brain. I ordered the halter and lead, and wow did that do the job. The mare suddenly found out she was going to have to listen to me. I was regaining my confidence.
7 yrs later she is one of the best mares I have. This mare was never imprinted at birth. She had no use for humans. Today she loves me to pet her, and gets very upset if I ride one of the other horses. She owes her life to Clinton, I was going to sell her!
We have 6 horses, 5 of them have been trained using Clinton's method and they know nothing else. The 6th horse is 27 years old and there is no reason for me to do much with him, he's broke to death and has more miles on him than any old car. He will be retiring shortly. I sell Clinton's methods to anyone that tells me they have a horse they can't handle. It works, I have proof - 5 horses.
I had a chance to meet Clinton in Ks City and thank him, I never went and stood in line, I was too shy. But I will say this..a happy horse and owner..is PRICELESS!!!
THANK YOU CLINTON!
