Debbie and Cassie work on their lateral bending. |
Dear Clinton,
I bought my Paint mare, Cassie, 3 years ago thinking she would be a quiet trail horse. Little did I know what trouble lie ahead! Once I put some weight on her I had a different horse. She was spooky, rooted against the bit, pulled back when tied, reared and was disrespectful on the ground. Not the right horse for a 50 year old who never trained a horse! Thank heaven I saw you at a clinic!!! I quickly purchased the Gaining Respect On the Ground videos and went to work!!! You were easy to understand, showed me where to be to stay safe, how to keep her out of my hula hoop. You even taught me to not be afraid to whack her with the handy stick when she tried to run me over in the roundpen!! (I nearly had a heart attack!)
With the help of some good trainers, your tv shows and videos I can now ride her collected in a bitless bridle, bareback in the rope halter, her out of control lope is getting like a western pleasure horse and shes doing simple changes. I can pull her tail to move her hind end, if she spooks she only flinches. The changes in this horse are too numerous to name!!
We have alot more to work on but I am confident that I can find all the answers and help in the rest of your Riding with Confidence videos!!! Thank you again for all of your hard work. God bless you!!
