Clinton Anderson Downunder Horsemanship Clinics

Nothing Beats Live, Step-By-Step Instruction!

Clinton Anderson's 3-day horsemanship clinics cover all of the curriculum in his Gaining Respect and Control on the Ground Series I and Riding With Confidence Series I DVDs, but your learning is greatly amplified because you receive immediate feedback directly from Clinton on what is being done correctly, incorrectly and what variations will help owners get better results with a certain horse personalities. If you've never had the opportunity to be a spectator or participant at a Clinton Anderson clinic, you've got no idea the depth of knowledge, humor and fun you are missing! It's a 3-day learning workshop, but school was never this fun or entertaining before! Clinic Format:
Clinton will be the instructor at each clinic. There will be 20 participants in each clinic with their horses. Downunder Horsemanship will take the first 20 students to register and pay the deposit for each clinic. There will be a waiting list after the participant spots are booked. If there is a cancellation of one of the 20 participant spots we will contact the names on the waiting list. If you are contacted to fill a spot we will require a non-refundable deposit of half the clinic price to confirm your participation in the clinic.

Riders Receive Lots of Individual Attention!
Two apprentices will accompany Clinton to all 2008 Horsemanship Clinics - ensuring that in addition to direct group and one-on-one instruction directly from Clinton Anderson, riders can always be assured of help when they need it most. The apprentices, Shana Terry and Krista Robinson, have been been engrossed in Clinton's live-in apprenticeship program for more than two years. They live and breathe Clinton's methods 24/7 - you'll find them friendly, easy to approach, knowledgeable and ready to help you with anything you might be unsure of during the clinic. Although Clinton is the main instructor, attendees will benefit from group and individual instruction from the apprentices during the clinic.

  • 3-day clinic for one rider & and one horse is $1,350.00 includes clinic & stall.
A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of half the clinic price will be due at the time of booking to confirm your participation in the clinic. Once you are confirmed as a participant we will send you a contract and liability forms. The deposit will be held in the event you cancel or do not show up for the clinic. The clinics have very limited participation and the spots fill quickly. Please be sure you are willing to commit to attending the clinic. Payment can be made by check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. The final payment will be due one month before the clinic, no exceptions. Clinic Hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm each day of the clinic. Check-in will take place the first morning of the clinic. Please be prepared for groundwork at 9:00 each morning of the clinic. There will be an hour lunch break each day. After the lunch break be prepared for lessons undersaddle.

  • Clinton works in group sessions covering lessons on the ground and undersaddle. We recommend that the horse you bring to the clinic be broke to ride.
  • Stallions are NOT allowed in the clinic.
  • Horses must have 60 rides.
  • Participants and their horses must be able to walk, trot and canter on a loose rein in a group situation.
  • Each participant will be responsible for the care and feeding of their horse. We recommend that you bring enough feed and bedding for your horse for the entire stay.
  • Each participant can bring one horse to the clinic. There will be one stall per participant provided by the host facility. Your stall fee is paid for, you DO NOT need to pay the facility for the stall upon your arrival. Stall cleaning is the responsibility of the participant. Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to keep your area and the entire training grounds neat and clean while you are at the host facility. Please take it upon yourself to be thoughtful of the students that will be attending with you. Keep in mind to be respectful of other horses and people, we wish for all of you to greatly benefit from your experience at the Downunder Horsemanship clinic.
  • You must have current health papers showing immunizations, a current veterinarian's health certificate, and a negative coggins test. Please bring a COPY of this paperwork with you to the clinic.
  • It is understood that due to the nature of horse training and handling in general, accidents can occur. You are advised to wear a protective helmet for your safety and to put protective boots on your horse. You should wear appropriate riding footwear, no flip flops, hiking boots, tennis shoes, etc.
  • If the participant/horse is not able to complete the clinic there will be no refunds.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older.
  • All requirments must be met in order to participate in a Downunder Horsemanship clinic.
Buy clinic spectator tickets now!Clinic Observers:
The cost to observe is $35.00 per day pre-paid. Children 8 & under get in free. Tickets are available for purchase through the Downunder Horsemanship office and the web site. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable. Tickets must be purchased at least ONE WEEK prior to each clinic (Friday previous for a Friday clinic) to receive the discounted price. All tickets purchased at the clinic will be $45.00 per day. Clinic observers ARE NOT allowed to bring horses to the event. No one other than enrolled participants and their enrolled horses may be ridden at the facility during the 3 day duration of the event, including before and after clinic hours.

Seating may be limited at select clinics. Please note - we may ask observers to bring lawn chairs at these clinics. All clinics in Belle Center, Ohio will require observers to bring lawn chairs.

Please note: We love dogs, but for insurance purposes, strictly no pets are allowed at any of our clinics.
